Jugendinfo.cc started to develop a Quality Criteria Catalogue for the youth information work in Austria in 2008. Nine key areas of youth information work were defined, to consequently   develop the Quality Criteria and indicators for all of those areas in the coming 2-3 years: Information - Management Provision of information: face-to-face, counselling, web based information, informal learning Internal and external communication Training and Education (professionalisation of youth information work Networking and Co-operation Projects and Services Participation of Young People in youth information work Statistics, valorisation and documentation Management of a youth information centre In 2008, the organisation worked mainly on the key area No. 2 Three key areas have been defined as being part of the actuall Quality Criteria Catalogue: Information - Management Provision of information: face-to-face, counselling, web based information, informal learning Internal and external communication They have been worked out in 2008. The Catalogue has been published in Spring 2009. The Quality Criteria Catalogue will serve as a tool for self-evaluation of all Austrian regional and local centres and will give them an overview of „strengths“ and „weaknesses“ of the youth information in Austria. On the national level, the centres will create tools and training offers responding to the needs/weaknesses of the network.
