International Youth Meeting 2011 in Gijón, Spain

The municipality of Gijón, Spain is organising a seminar titled “Youth and sustainability: sustainable territory for a possible world” on dates September 5-7, 2011.

A number of experts will be presenting their knowledge about different subjects of interest for young people from Europe, Latin America as well as other parts of the world. The topics on the agenda of the seminar revolve around sustainable territory to peaceful coexistence and inclusive territories through youth and their right to the city and good practices in European youth policy.

Young Europeans between 18 and 35 years of age are invited to apply to participate in this conference, especially those who have experience with the topics at stake for the seminar. The participation fee for this event is 25 EUR per participant and includes registration fee, accommodation, meals and fees for extra activities that will be organised throughout the meeting.

The 30 first applicants will be able to participate free of charge and will receive an allowance of a maximum of 200 EUR for travel reimbursement (proof of travel documents needed).

The seminar will be held in the Spanish language with translation into English.
