Study visit to Finland

Four ERYICA Member Organisations: MISSS (Slovenia), Canlaw (Wales), and In Petto (Flanders, Belgium) have recently come back from Finland, where they have participated in a Study Visit in Helsinki and Seinäjoki region.

The inintiative to organise the Study Visit was taken by the Department of Youth Affairs in Seinäjok city, Finland.
The Study Visit "Best Practises in Youth Information Work" took place on 11 - 16 of May 2009. Its purpose was to share good experiences and best practises of the youth information and counselling work in four European countries: Finland, Slovenia, United Kingdom and Belgium. The main theme of the visit was peer to peer education, young peoples' active groups, and participation in the youth information and counselling work.
The Study Visit was implemented on the initiative of the regional JIBBO Youth Information Service in Finland with the support of the National Coordination of Youth Information and Counselling Services, Finland and in the framework of the "Youth in Action" Programme of the European Commission.
