Meet the Street Initiates Exchanges

On February 26 - 28, 2009, exchanges between two Meet the Street project partners: In Petto (Antwerp, Belgium) and JIP The Hague (the Hague, the Netherlands) took place in the Hague with the aim to share interviewing skills and practices.

Because In Petto missed the first Meet the Street event in Luxembourg (December 2008), the staff of the project partner JIP The Hague have decided to support In Petto in avoiding missing the essential part of the training and organised a workshop for the youngsters from In Petto.

The two-day workshop was short but practically-oriented: on the first day, the youngsters learnt interviewing skills and tools upon how to shoot movies with mobile phones. After that, Belgian youngsters participating in the training met the street of the Hague in real time, going outside, meeting and interviewing their Dutch peers. During the second day of the workshop, youngsters learnt how to edit movies. Then, ready to meet the streets of Belgium, the youngsters from In Petto have left to Antwerp, which will surely face curious faces of interviewing youngsters very soon.

In Petto ERYICA Member uses this opportunity to express its gratefulness to the staff of the Meet the Street project partner JIP The Hague, who shared their skills and experience with them.
