Safer Internet Day 2010

Today, 9th of February 2010, the 7th edition of the Safer Internet Day will be celebrated in Europe, as well as in more than 30 countries around the world.

Under the slogan "Think before you post!" a number of events are organised all around the globe to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology, especially among children and young people. 

Launched by the European Safer Internet network INSAFE, the Safer Internet Day shall raise awareness for how important it is to empower young people to manage handling new technologies and their online identities in a responsible way.

Also ERYICA takes the challenges new technologies are constituting for young people seriously and thus has launched the "Principles for Online Youth Information", which we would like to share with you here again on this special occasion.
