YIntro - Train the Trainer in Prague

The first Train the Trainer on ERYICA’s new training module YIntro – Stepping into Youth Information has taken place from 2. – 7.3. in Prague, Czech Republic. The event has been hosted by ERYICA’s member in Prague, NIDM and gathered 20 participants from 12 European countries (Serbia, Czech Republic, Spain, Turkey, The Netherlands, Slovenia, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Montenegro, Portugal and France).

During this past week the participants went together with five Youth Information trainers through the four areas of the module: Background and Principles of Youth Information, Youth Information in Practice, The Art of Working with Young People in a Youth Information Setting and Continuous Development of Youth Information work.

The event has been designed as a pilot session to test the effectiveness of the training module: Hence, significant room was given to a reflection on the content of the manual as well as suggestions for minor alterations to secure completeness of the course.

The next YIntro training is already in planning,  scheduled to take place in early spring 2010 in one of ERYICA’s member countries.
