As a part of the European e-Skills Week, the European Commission launched an interesting opportunity for young people: the Project Passion Competition. Entries can be submitted in 3 categories, all related to e-skills, by 4 March 2012.

By the date of 15 December 2011, the Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA upgraded their ERYICA membership from Co-operating to Affiliated status.
SEGA is based in the city of Prilep in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) and has been established on initiative of the Youth Council of Prilep during the implementation of the “National Youth Action Plan”. SEGA has been formed with the purpose to contribute to the process of creating and implementing the country’s National Youth Strategy and to assist in fulfilling the needs of the youth.

ERYICA published the report of the Conference/Seminar "25 Years of Youth Information - and Counting!", held in Opatija, Croatia on the dates 16-18 April 2011. The Conference celebrated the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the European Youth Information and Counselling Agency, with inviting those who have played an important role both in the life of the organisation and the development of youth information work.

In the framework of the ERYICA project titled "JIMMY – Youth Information Mediator" the Training Task Force developed a training module for youth workers on the provision of youth information. The first Training to Trainers on this new module will take place in Vicenza, Italy, on the dates of 18 - 21 December 2011.
The present call is open for trainers belonging to ERYICA member structures, with experience in Youth Information as well as in delivering trainings and who are devoted to multiply the content of the course by delivering JIMMY trainings themselves.

ERYICA welcomes Euro26 Romania, a new cooperating organisation to its network.
The association, based in Bucharest, is also the promoter of the European Youth Card in Romania. Besides this activity, the organisation develops youth projects, most of them with their partners: the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education and Youth, Romanian universities and NGOs.
With their presence in the network, ERYICA further expands and reinforces its presence in the Balkan region.

The EU-Youth Conference is an element of the structured dialogue process that was established by the Council of the European Union in the Resolution on a renewed framework for European cooperation in the youth field (2010-2018).
ERYICA was present as a guest at the EU-Youth Conference of Polish Presidency that took place in the days 05-07.09.2011 in Warsaw, Poland and was represented by its Director, Davide Capecchi.
