Presentation: 
The project involved large scale actions in the city of Split to attract a number of young people in different activities. Within the framework of the activities, the following days were commemorated: 09.05.2008 - European Day 29.04.2008 - International Dance Day 17.09.2008 - Day of Split Pport The project provided information to many young people about issues important for their development. More than 5000 young people were provided with specific information during the events.  A co-operation with a considerable number of NGOs and institutions was ensured.

Small School of Life Skills

Presentation: 
The main goal of the project was to influence high school students on empowering and initiating their life choices in harmony with positive values, such as: self-awareness, development of own's strenghts, self understanding and accepting, development of a dialog and accepting others, development of co-operation, non-violent conflict resolution, planning of own actions, etc. The project was implemented in five training cycles. During the whole project, project management did its promotion on local radio and TV. Project's outcomes: 80 youngsters empowered and motivated to make their own choices; PRONI Centre and the youth information centre in Osijek were promoted through posters, on three radio stations and two TV stations several times during the project.

All for You

Project Theme: 
Youth Participation; Education and Transfer of Knowledge in YI Work From Europe and Within Croatia

Presentation: 
The action smoothly combined different types of activities that provided target groups with necessary skills for personal and professional development. Project's overall objective: to increasw the level of active participation and integration of youth in social and political life, and to develop the civil society of Osijek-Baranja, Vukovar-Srijem and Sisak-Moslavina counties. Project's specific objective: to support and build capacities of youth by ensuring access to relevant information for the life and work of young people, through setting up info-centres for youth on local level and via promotion of their participation in non-formal education, cross-sectoral advisory teams on youth issues and transfer of experiences from the EU and within Croatia.
Project Programme
Programme: 
The program consisted of four parts: 1) development and implementation of local youth information centres in Vukovar and Sisak, through networking and transfer of knowledge and experience from Regional youth information centres in Osijek, aiming at personal development of youth through informing, counselling and non-formal education; 2) development of local cross-sectoral advisory teams, by engagement of relevant local stakeholders (representatives of municipalities, educational, health, employment institutions, etc.) aiming to provide updated information (public policies, programs, plans and activities on issues relevant for youth), enabling qualitative and professional approach in development of information centres for youth; 3) implementation and promotion of Training for Trainers for the Pool of Trainers in Croatia by transferring knowledge from the European Youth Information and Counselling Agency (ERYICA), aiming at building local capacities for sustainable development of youth information centres in Croatia, and creation of educational module “Capacity Development for Leaders of Info-Centres for Youth”, aiming at up-grading quality of information workers in Croatia. 4) public promotion campaign aiming to promote action plans, activities and results with specific focus on promotion of youth information centres in Osijek, Vukovar and Sisak, as well as other similar initiatives and examples of good practice. The campaign will be focused on creation of positive climate in target counties through promotion of active youth participation as carriers of society development. Duration: 12 months.

Regional Youth Info Centre

Via volunteer education (high school students), a lasting comunication was established between an Info Centre and high school students. Project's ouctomes: High school students, that do not have direct access to information, received necessary information A lasting communication between the Info Centre and high schools students was established.

Local Programme for Youth

Youth Participation in Development of Youth Policies

The regional youth information centre in Rijeka, Croatia, was appointed to carry out the process of creating local programme for youth for the City of Rijeka, as an independent organisation working with youth and with various institutions and NGOs working with youth. After the initial meeting with 8 departments of the City of Rijeka, 7 expert councils were formed from representatives of various stakeholders in the society, gathered around certain theme of programme. In addition, the NGO's Expert Council was also formed. Within the span of 2 months' time, 7 workshops were held, and expert councils together with representatives of institutions, NGOs, student councils, student union and youth sections of political parties made the first draft. After that, a discussion forum was held on Internet for 14 days, and finally the public debate took place in the City Hall of Rijeka. The coordination of this process was pronounced the best practice in creating public documents in Croatia. The project outcomes are: The local programme for youth was adopted by the local government; The youth was included in all the phases of the process

Regional Public Debates about New National Programme for Youth

An activity was carried out with a Ministry responsible for youth (Ministry of Family, Veterans' Affairs and Intergenerational Solidarity) in the process of creation of the new national programme for youth. The project's outcomes: public debates were held; youth representatives were included in the process; conclusion were sent to representatives of the national level of youth policies.

Fan Embassy Project at EURO 2008

Providing Information

Presentation: 
The main goal of this project was delivering information for the Croatian fans in Austria during the EURO 2008 championship. It was carried out with local governemnts and organisation comitee linked to public services in host cities. The idea was to create a welcoming atmosphere for the fans, answer their qustions and answer any possible request they might have. By ensuring communication with them, it was easier to avoid misunderstanding and any kind of trouble. The services included web sites, city info-points, helpline and 50 Croatian volunteers on tourist info-points throughout the host city. All the support facilities lasted for the whole duration of the championship. Project partners were FARE, UEFA, the Croatian Football Federation and  the Ministry of Family, Veterans' Affairs and Intergenerational Solidarity. During the project, over 5.000 leaflets were distributed, a web site was developed and is functioning, a helpline was working, info-points were working the whole day, in the case of one deceased, the transportation has been provided, 30 lost personal belongings were returned to their owners.

Meeting of YFJ Pool of Trainers

Presentation: 
Regular YFJ Pool of Trainers Meeting was held for 3 days in Rijeka, Croatia. The event concluded with a public conference, to which the youth and institutions dealing with youth were invited. Six trainers spoke about their backgrounds, motivation for being a trainer, results and outcomes of the meeting and European possibilities. The purpose of the meeting was to define trainings for sustainability of youth organisations through volunteering. The project's outcomes: a YFJ Pool of Trainers Meeting took place in Rijeka, joint public presentations were held.

Forming the National Association of Info-Centres

Task force meetings were held with a goal of defining a model of networking, statutes, and operational standards in providing the youth information. A co-operation was established with the national government and respective local governments. The project has resulted in the establishment and legal registration of the Association of youth info-centers Croatia (AYICC).
