Quality Management in Youth Information and Counselling is Published
In the frame of the Youth on the Move - InfoMobility project, ERYICA has published a competency development framework titled Quality Management in Youth Information and Counselling. The booklet intends to provide a self-assessment quality tool and good examples in quality management in a way that is accessible to all youth information workers in Europe.
The three main parts of the document set a theoretical approach to quality management, provide a template of reflection (assessment) tool for youth information services and showcase six examples of already functioning quality management systems in Europe. At the very end it provides a Glossary with the main notions that are used in the text.
We trust that this publication will prove to be both an inspiration and a resource tool. It helps all those involved in youth information services and particularly those providers who work with and for young people in addressing their needs and meeting their aspirations. While helping young people to make informed choices, youth information services are to involve them in youth information work and the quality process from the very starting point.
ERYICA thanks the contribution of the members of the EURYICA Working Group and the support of the Youth in Action Programme.
