European Youth Information Day 2024
Walk the Talk for the next elections
2024 was a landmark year for democracy worldwide, with nearly half the global population voting in key elections, including the European Parliamentary elections. Against this backdrop, the theme for the European Youth Information Day 2024 (#EYID24) was “Walk the Talk: Come forward for what matters.”
The campaign focused on empowering young people to understand their essential role in collective decisions and the future of democracy. It encouraged critical thinking, informed decision-making, and active participation, celebrating the diversity of voices shaping our shared present and future.
The campaign was shared in 21 countries, implemented in 14 languages, and generated considerable online activity, including over 600 shares and hundreds of uses of #EYID24. Additionally, ERYICA’s website saw a notable increase in traffic, with 514 visits to the EYID section in April.
By engaging youth across Europe, #EYID24 served as a reminder of the importance of young people’s contributions to democracy. Thank you to all the members, organisations, and individuals who helped us inspire the next generation of active, informed citizens.
