Growing Together, Acting Together: Highlights from the ERYICA Trainers' Seminar 2024

Youth information trainers from the ERYICA community across Europe gathered for the 4th-biennial ’’Youth Information Trainers’ Seminar’’, hosted by the ERYICA Member Organisation - Valencian Youth Institute (IVAJ). This three-day seminar took place in the picturesque and sunny city of Alicante, Spain, between 26-30 May, 2024, in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme Key Action 1.

The seminar was a collaborative process, offering ERYICA trainers the opportunity to participate, facilitate sessions, and propose topics in the open-space gallery. It was an excellent platform for sharing best practices and networking among trainers from 12 different countries.

The main aims of the seminar were to enhance youth information training across Europe by:

  • Facilitating the exchange of methods, knowledge, expertise, and ideas among trainers;

  • Encouraging educational, social, and cultural exchanges among trainers to address the diverse aspects of youth information work in Europe;

  • Exploring the latest developments in the ERYICA training system;

  • Introducing new eLearning courses and training opportunities provided by ERYICA in 2024;

  • Discussing proposals for managing the trainers' pool and updating training course content; and

  • Building a robust and sustainable network of trainers.

In addition to exchanging knowledge, experience, and networking, ERYICA trainers enjoyed a fantastic time exploring Alicante through a digital gymkhana titled ’’Alicante Between Two Castles’’, discovering the city's sights and points of interest. This blend of professional development and enjoyable activities made the seminar a memorable and enriching experience for all attendees. I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this event. Your involvement and dedication were crucial in making this seminar a truly impactful and rewarding experience. Until the next one...
