aha Liechtenstein goes online

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to switch to home office and build up/intensify youth information services online within a very short time. In concrete terms, we have taken the following measures:

1. Creation of a COVID-19 website

Reliable information is particularly important in times of crisis. That is why we have set up our own COVID-19 page. On this page, young people can find the latest news and updates about COVID-19 from around the world and Liechtenstein, hotlines and contact points, information on how to reach us online, articles by our aha youth reporters, challenges and campaigns, online live streams and entertainment and much more.

Link to the website (in German): www.aha.li/corona

2. aha youth reporters & COVID-19

Our aha youth reporters have been busy writing new articles connected to COVID-19. Among other things, they covered topics such as battling boredom, Learning Apps, Fitness at home, COVID-19 & the impact on the climate, consumer society & minimalism, recipes for recooking etc.

3. #stayathomechallenge on Instagram

Right at the beginning of the time at home we started the #stayathomechallenge on Instagram & Facebook. Every day we (employees & youth reporter team) posted a tip for home. In total, more than 60 posts on home activities were collected by mid-May: www.instagram.com/aha_liechtenstein/

4. Opening up new online channels

In order to reach a wide audience and different target groups, we have opened up new online channels (such as Discord) and intensified our work online. Instagram, for example, recorded a 14% increase in followers within 1.5 months, while Facebook saw a 6% increase. We have also installed a WhatsApp chat function on our website.

5. Intensify networking & support youth initiatives online

Young people are also involved in the COVID-19 period. For example, we conducted a youth project coaching (video editing training) via Anydesk/Discord for the project jubel backstage+: www.aha.li/backstage-plusFurthermore we have supported a group of young people who have set up their own information page on Corona for young people (www.coronatime.li) with content on, among other things, fake news. We & our youth team also participated in the campaign #climatestikeonline of the climate organisation Liechtenstein (www.instagram.com/klimaorganisationfl), which was founded by young people. In addition, we have intensified our cooperation with cooperation & networking partners & mutually advertised our offers.
