Call for proposals Erasmus+ 2023

On 23 November 2022, the European Commission launched the Call for Proposals 2023 for Erasmus+ projects in education, training, youth and sport..

With a budget of €4.2 billion, this new call aims to increase the support for initiatives that promote inclusion, active citizenship and democratic participation, and green and digital transformations in the EU and internationally.

The programme will place a special emphasis on supporting students and staff fleeing Ukraine, thus continuing the legacy of the European Year of Youth 2022. This legacy also aims to ensure that young people continue to play a key role in the European Union through activities funded through Erasmus+.

2023 will be the European Year of Skills; therefore, Erasmus+ activities and projects for 2023 will continue feeding into the EU's commitment to upskilling and reskilling

We are all excited to see Erasmus+ grow further and reach out to more learners and staff every year. In 2023, we are looking forward to reaching pre-pandemic levels of mobility across and beyond the European Union. For the first time in the history of the programme, it will support the mobility of coaches and staff in the field of sport, bringing us a step closer to a more active Europe.

Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President for Promoting our European Way of Life - 23/11/2022
