Meet Agenzija Zghazagh from Malta!

Aġenzija Żgħażagħ is a National Youth Agency in Malta that provides young people with time and space to make friends, learn in alternative ways and develop their talents through their regional youth services. They offer an  extensive empowerment programme that  interactively provides generalist youth information services. These include opportunities for young people allowing them to share their thoughts and ideas. Through Eurodesk, the European Youth Card and their participation in EU programmes, young people are offered the opportunity to explore life, learn and work across Europe.

Their mission is to manage, implement and coordinate the National Youth Policy and to promote whilst safeguarding young people's interests. They provide empowerment programmes which focus on young people with projects and activities in the visual arts, music, theatre, film, writing, and civic and political engagement at local and European level; as well as supporting voluntary youth organisations and a dedicated programme - Youth.inc - for young people experiencing difficulties in education and the transition to working life. Their regional youth services provide activities in youth cafes, youth hubs, schools and the youth activity centres in Dingli and M’Xlokk.

Agenzija Zghazagh has adopted different approaches through technology and does its best to reach young people. These approaches and methodologies allow young people to follow live sessions with youth workers, empower young people’s talent, inquire and be provided with reliable information and engage them in different activities online. This is currently being done through social media both on Facebook and Instagram ( Fb Agenzija Zghazagh / Insta : agenzija.zghazagh) and through the web portal (youth.gov.mt). Young people can also communicate with youth workers through social media platforms by means of instant messaging. They strive to improve situations and still be present in all young people’s lives. They encourage young people to get in touch with them no matter what they require and to engage in the initiatives they are providing.
