The legacy of the No Hate Speech Movement lives on!
Do you remember the No Hate Speech Movement of the Council of Europe? To continue its fight against hate and for a more peaceful Internet, the most devoted activists and partners of the campaign gathered at the European Youth Centre Strasbourg on 21-25 October 2019, where they laid down the foundations of a new entity, the No Hate Speech Network. ERYICA was present and actively contributed to this process. The study session also celebrated the legacy of the No Hate Speech Movement and explored future actions for combating hate speech through human rights.
The new organisation will continue working for the eradication of hate content from the Internet and to changing the mindset of its users for a more inclusive and peaceful Europe. Their activities will be based on the materials, experience and enthusiasm of the Movement, as well as new ideas.
