YI Minds
Youth information minding young people’s mental health
The YIMinds project is starting! The kick-off meeting will take place on 28-29 November in Brussels. The partners from Austria (Jugdeninfo), Belgium (De Ambrassade), Cyprus (Cyprus Youth Council), Estonia (Haarno), Spain (CRIDJ Madrid), Greece (IASIS), Luxembourg (ERYICA) and Scotland (Young Scot) and one ERYICA Youth Ambassador will meet to talk about the project content and management. The meeting will also allow all participants to discuss their respective practices to support young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
In light of the unprecedented increase in mental health and well-being issues among young people following the pandemic, the project aims at establishing a structured dialogue between youth information workers, mental health professionals and young people. It will also help set a common European framework for action so that different youth information and youth work professionals can learn from each other. The ultimate aim will be to enhance the mental health literacy of youth information professionals and develop effective actions to address the stigma traditionally associated with mental health and wellbeing. More information on YIMinds can be found on the ERYICA website.
