Youth Info Centre opened in Timisoara, Romania

The National Youth Foundation (FNT), in collaboration with the Timiș County Youth Foundation (FITT) and Europe Direct Timisoara, celebrated the inauguration of the first Youth Info Centre on November 24th. Situated within the Youth House in Timișoara, the only youth center in Romania holding the Quality Label for Youth Centers from the Council of Europe, this information center represents a new space dedicated primarily to young people.

Empowering the Youth: A New Resource Hub

The Youth Info Centre is part of the national network of county youth foundations and aims to provide a welcoming space not only for young individuals but also for institutions, organizations, and stakeholders working with youth. It serves as a platform for promoting programs, services, and opportunities designed for young people.

Located on the ground floor of the building, the center offers young people access to valuable informational resources. A wide variety of brochures and guides are available, covering topics ranging from education and employment opportunities to health and well-being.

Education and Beyond: A Hub of Opportunities

Additionally, the center will host various activities such as training sessions, workshops, courses, and counseling services related to youth information. Young people can attend sessions designed to improve their digital literacy, job-seeking skills, and personal development.

Furthermore, it will serve as a hub for career guidance, offering information about scholarships, internships, and study abroad programs. The center's mission extends to support for entrepreneurship, providing resources for young entrepreneurs to kickstart their ventures.

Empowering Youth Through Information

The center's grand opening event included informative presentations on youth information at the local, national, and European levels. These presentations underscored the importance of informed decision-making among young people.

Additionally, a treasure hunt engaged young participants in understanding the significance of youth information. Teams of young people raced through the center, solving puzzles and gathering information along the way. This fun and educational activity highlighted the resources available at the Youth Info Centre.
