DECEMBER 14, 12.00- 14.00 CET
Topic
Mental health
Facilitator
Diamando Zisimopoulou, Project Manager of Cyprus Youth Council
YIminds is an Erasmus+ project about young people’s mental health that started in October 2022 and will end in September 2024.
The objectives of the project are to:
· enhance the mental health literacy of youth information workers;
· provide tools to equip youth information work professionals to identify mental health
distress among young people, provide first-hand support, and, when needed, refer them to specialised services;
· foster cooperation between mental health professionals and youth information workers;
· share good practice to learn from different experiences in different countries;
· fight against the mental health stigma
· foster a peer-to-peer approach to mental health and wellbeing
The webinar served as the official launch of a guide designed to provide essential support to youth information workers (YIW) who deal with young people and mental health distress.
It was a good opportunity to gain insights into this critical field and to explore the outcomes of the project.
It has been organised by the consortium of the YIMinds Project, which comprises organisations and professionals dedicated to improving mental health among youth. We were also pleased to have the participation of psychologists who shared their invaluable insights and expertise.
