Jugendinfopunkt Ettelbréck Opens its Doors on the European Youth Information Day 2023!

“A service where they get heard and strength!” – Harpa Tordadottier, Coordinator of Nordstadjugend

The north of Luxembourg celebrated a significant milestone on the European Youth Information Day (17 April) with the opening of a new Youth Information Point, JIP Ettelbréck. Being the third now in Luxembourg, the new establishment aims to empower the youth of the north by providing valuable information, resources, and support for their personal and professional development.

It is a success – In the first three weeks of its opening, about 20 people per week have taken advantage of the services. The JIP is aimed at young people between the ages of 12 and 30, but also parents and youth workers.

The European Youth Information Day represented an ideal occasion to unveil this groundbreaking initiative. The event was further elevated by the signing of a Cooperation Charter emphasising the shared vision and commitment of the three Youth Information Points in Luxembourg. The Charter sets the stage for ongoing collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the implementation of joint initiatives. It represents a concrete step towards a national strategy for Youth Information in Luxembourg.
