Safety campaign provided info and interesting activities all over Estonia

In April 2022, the Estonian Youth Information service Teeviit and the Estonian Transport Administration organised a national campaign to promote and share information on the need to wear a safety helmet when using a bike, scooter, or skateboard.

The campaign aimed to inform and illustrate the importance of safety helmets through activities. The campaign was held during the spring school break, which was perfect timing to address the issue with young people as the weather was warm enough to ride around on a bike or scooter.

Youth centres and schools had an opportunity to sign up and use the provided materials, workshops, and original stickers to decorate helmets. Stickers were in Estonian, Russian, and Ukrainian languages.

Over 70 organisations and thousands of young people organised local-level activities and shared information.

Teeviit is a nation-wide web-based service that provides young people with relevant information in an age-appropriate and youth-friendly way, taking into account young people’s interests and current trends.
