YIMinds project consortium is organising an international seminar on young people's mental health in youth (information) work in Brussels on 10th September. 

This event marks the culmination of our two-year project, and we believe your presence can be an added value!

    9.35 Presentation of the outcomes of the project - our research on mental health literacy amongst youth (info) workers, our Mental Health Literacy in Youth Information Work Guidebook, our online campaign against stigma, our podcast, recommendations on young people's mental health for stakeholders and our resilience toolkit for young people

    10.05 Focus on the outcomes of the project

    • The need to have a protocol for urgent cases

    • Young people’s need to talk about a safe place and environment to talk about their mental health 

    • Self-care and well-being of the youth (information) workers

    11.20 Panel discussion on young people's mental health and youth (info) work- With mental health experts, policymakers, youth workers and young people

    13.20 Workshop 1: Playfield of Mental Wellbeing - By De Ambrassade

    Goal: discovering the concept of the playingfield of Mental well-being and reflecting on their own youth (information) work practice.

    Content

    • Short background information on the youth (information) work landscape in Flanders & De Ambrassade

    • Information about how the concept was made together with lots of stakeholders

    • Information about the playing of mental well-being

    • Reflective exercises with the concept 

    15.00 Workshop 2: Stress management and resilience as a youth worker - By IASIS

    Goal: Understand stress management and resilience.

    Content:

    • Recognize how stress affects the body.

    • Learn practical techniques to manage stress and build resilience.

    • Develop strategies to support young people in building resilience and managing stress

    16.45 End of the day

    You don’t have to choose the workshop, as it will be facilitated twice in a row, allowing you to take part in both. The groups can be determined in the afternoon. 

  • If you are from outside Belgium, we will cover your accommodation (Motel One, located a 10-minute walk from the venue) for two nights (arrival on 9th September and departure on 11th September). We can also cover your travel expenses, including flights, up to 325 euros.
