YIMinds Seminar: Empowering Youth Workers for Better Mental Health
ERYICA and the Erasmus+ project YIMinds consortium organised a Seminar on young people’s mental health addressed to youth (info) workers in Brussels on 10 September.
It was an opportunity to share the project's outcomes with 45 participants from all over Europe and to let the audience share their experiences on the topic.
We invited Noura Kaddaoui (Volunteer at the Flemish Youth Council), Lara Liebertz (Director of Jugendinfo Ostbelgien) and Eric Kota (Psychologist at Connect Brussels) for a panel discussion about young people’s mental health. The second part of the day was dedicated to two workshops: one about discovering the concept of the playing field of Mental well-being and reflecting on their own youth (information) work practice, and the other about stress management and resilience.
This event was the climax of the project, which ended at the end of September after two years of hard work. They developed a guidebook on mental health literacy, a podcast series, policy recommendations, a Mind Matters Toolbox for young people, and a campaign to fight stigma.
