"Youth Express“ shares quality info for youths via a newspaper.

In 2021 Estonian national level web-based youth information service Teeviit decided to conduct a newspaper with youth and experts to support young people with quality and reliable information.

In the summer of 2021, Teeviit had a web-based summer holiday program that focused on health, relationships, and safety. The program ended with a thematic newspaper between Estonia's most readable weekly newspapers. The action had successful feedback and support from youth, parents, youth workers, schools, and youth field colleagues!

After piloting this action, Teeviit decided to make it part of the service and to compile more newspapers with young people and experts. As a result, in November 2021 a newspaper focused on youth work and its role to support youths' mental health and challenges with digitalisation was launched.

We have printed out around 50,000 copies with two editions and disseminated them at schools, youth centers, and others that have been directly purchased from stores. As the process and feedback have been positive, Teeviit will have four editions this year 2022. First, one will be out in March and will be focused on media and information literacy.
