Stakeholders and partnerships responsible
The Governing Board member responsible for the stakeholders and partners supports and monitors the relations of the Agency with its stakeholders, e.g. Council of Europe, EU and UNESCO partnerships. He is in charge of opening up lines of collaboration with new stakeholders and supporting the Agency’s stakeholders’ representation efforts in coordination with the President, the Director and other GB members.

Jorge Orlando Queirós was born in 1962, at a small city in the North of Portugal, called Marco de Canaveses, but lives in Lisbon since 1991, when he joined the former (Portuguese) Youth Institute and thus started his career in the youth policy field.
He graduated in international relations at the Minho University (Braga) in 1988. During his time at the University he was elected for the student’s union, that he presided between 1987 and 1988.
After joining the Youth Institute, and Until the year 2000, he gained experience in several youth policies areas, like international cooperation, focusing in Africa, Ibero-America and Europe, the Youth Card, and others. In the year 2000 he became director of the Youth Information Department of the former Portuguese Youth Institute (IPJ). After assuming the Programmes Department at IPJ (2004) he Became director of the IPJ Department of Information, Communication and International Relations (DICRI) in 2007, post that he kept in 2012 when IPJ was merged with the former National Sport Institute to create the current Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ).
