Goals and activities

EU inFORM - Young Voters Project aims at increasing the informed participation of young voters in the next European elections, emphasising the outreach to first-time voters.

The main targeted objectives of the project are:

  • informing young people in a youth-friendly manner about the EU, the importance of EP elections, their voting rights, procedures for voting in different countries, and the proposals of all political programmes;

  • conveying the worries, concerns and views of young citizens to decision-making bodies and policymakers; and

  • fighting against disinformation and manipulation of information surrounding the elections and the EU.

To achieve these objectives, different actions and resources will be developed aiming at three main groups - potential young voters (main target group), young activists (multipliers), youth (information) workers, and other educators (multipliers):

  • Multilingual Web Hub - created for the action and the campaign with youth-friendly information on different aspects: EU election, why to vote; functioning of the EU; right to vote; rules and procedures to vote in each country; comparison of political programmes by policy areas including youth policy; and etc.

  • Pool of young activists on peer-to-peer advocacy and campaigning.

  • Multilingual social media campaign on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.

  • Toolkit for youth workers to conduct activities with young people on the EU election.

Walk the Talk- Come forward for what matters is the slogan chosen for this project.

Walk the Talk means putting your words into action, showing that you mean what you say by actively doing it yourself (in this case, by voting). It is a version of the everyday phrase “practice what you preach” or “actions speak louder than words”.

Come forward for what matters, reinforces the idea of movement, taking action, showing up to vote. After all, youth’s future depends on youth participation.
