A general overview of 2021 for the Youth Information Centres in Cyprus

2021 was yet another challenging year. The unprecedented situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has persisted for a second year, affecting many aspects of our lives in various ways.

The Youth Information Centers of the Youth Board of Cyprus continued to support the youth of Cyprus for another challenging year. The Youth Information Centres’ priority was to enhance the accessibility of Cypriot youth to information and to implement targeted activities, aiming to empower and support them.

In 2021, the Youth Information Centres in Cyprus implemented 98 activities on topics such as skills development, entrepreneurship, empowerment, information and culture. In these activities, more than 3,700 young people have participated from all over Cyprus, while 1,631 personal appointments of young people with Career Counsellors were arranged, providing them support for their academic and professional course.

Despite the ongoing pandemic and restrictions implemented throughout Europe, the Youth Information Centers will continue working in 2022, focusing on young people’s needs and assisting them in overcoming the challenges that arise by providing them with objective information and quality activities.
