Estonian youth information service Teeviit increased its visibility and availability

Estonian national-wide digital youth information service, Teeviit, finished a year-long rebranding process with a new look and a more youth-friendly structure. The process started in January 2022 and was completed in February 2023.

The Education and Youth Board of Estonia decided to start a digital youth information channel rebranding process based on youth's feedback and information consumption habits that have changed rapidly in recent years. The rebranding aimed to make the look and structure more attractive and accessible for young people. It is essential to point out that the national youth information service Teeviit consists of several sub-brands (Teeviit Juunior, Teeviit Youth Info, etc.). Therefore, we needed to bring the appearance and structure of the main and sub-brands under the same concept.

The process began with the mapping of needs and finding a service provider. Then we selected the primary colours and started designing the new logos. After the approval of the logos, we began with the analysis of the current web pages. The analysis was followed by an update of the web page structures and the creation of new web pages. When everything was ready, a social media campaign and a social media live for youth took place, and we also celebrated Teeviit's fifth birthday!

What did we learn? Always consider more time for activities rather than less, involve fewer people rather than more, be open to changes, and be bold in critical conversations!
