The European Union, in the context of the European Year of Youth 2022, has taken an important step to empower young people. The Union adopted the first Youth Action Plan to support young people to find their place in society and actively shape a better future.

Save the children international has created a practical and easy-to-use guide to writing child-friendly documents. This guide is focused on written form, summaries of official texts easily accessible for the mental potential of children and visually appealing.

oung people in Scotland can now access money-saving opportunities, financial information and tips on looking after their mental health with Young Scot’s new information hub.

The brochure "Wie geht es dir?" (eng: "How are you?") comprises 100 pages and includes articles, interviews, self-checks, and an ‘ABC on mental health’ where the most important terms regarding mental health are explained.

Recently, the Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ) in Spain has been awarded the European Youth Information Quality Label, becoming the first organisation in the country to achieve this recognition.

The YIMinds project is starting! The kick-off meeting will take place on 28-29 November in Brussels. The partners from Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Spain, Greece, Luxembourg and Scotland will meet to talk about the project content and management.

Youth Ambassadors is a programme to decentralise information by making it easier for young people to access it. The Programme is coordinated by the General Directorate of Youth, Ministry of the Presidency, Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Region of Murcia.

UNICEF Innocenti and Western Sydney University recently published the report “Responsible innovation in technology for children” that aims to shed light on the topic of digital wellbeing in young people and children.

The last Flash Eurobarometer on Youth and Democracy, published by the European Commission, shows that youth engagement has increased by 21% since 2019. There is a clear call for integrating disadvantaged young people into society and providing them with opportunities to learn and join the labour market.
