Last March, the first edition of ERYICA’s YIntro course - Stepping into youth information, took place at the Valencian youth network Xarxa Jove. The course was organised by IVAJ (Valencian Youth Institute) and was facilitated by three professionals from the Valencian region trained in the first ToT - ERYICA’s Training of trainers in 2020.

The 33rd General Assembly of ERYICA took place in Barcelona last month, from 11 to 13 May 2022, with the attendance of 84 participants from 20 European countries. The National Youth Emancipation Network in Catalonia is delighted with the results, the atmosphere and the opportunity to regain the presence of these spaces for exchange and growth of the Network.

At a time when virtual communication through screens has gained so much presence in our lives, this project seeks to raise awareness and value key aspects of face-to-face contact to experience through all our senses, favouring communication with our interlocutor.

Since May 2022, the Estonian youth information service Teeviit has provided information to young people in four different languages. The action aims to ensure that young people whose mother tongue is not Estonian can access quality and reliable information, including war refugees, international students, local minorities, and visitors.

The campaign aimed to inform and illustrate the importance of safety helmets through activities. The campaign was held during the spring school break, which was perfect timing to address the issue with young people as the weather was warm enough to ride around on a bike or scooter.

This webinar, conducted in collaboration with the Council of Europe, aims to raise awareness on different forms of sexual violence, harassment, grooming, and abuse affecting young people. It will be an opportunity to establish an open dialogue on their impact on young people, the position of youth information and counselling services, and what kind of actions and support can be provided to young people in need.

After a couple of years of joint advocacy with Eurodesk, "youth information worker" was officially included as an occupation in ESCO, the European skills/competencies, qualifications and occupations dictionary, in January 2022.

The Youth Congress of Catalonia will be held on 17-19 March 2022. It is conceived as a platform that brings together and represents youth associations and comprises nearly one hundred organisations and federations.

ERYICA’s 33rd General Assembly will take from 11 to 13 May 2022 hosted by the Catalan Youth Agency. For over two days, we will meet to learn about the latest developments and projects of the network, exchange best practice examples and take important decisions for the future of ERYICA and youth information.

February was a month to celebrate LGBTQ+ history, and Meic joined the celebrations by looking at different aspects of LGBTQ+ in our latest campaign.

The Bridge Youth café provides a safe space for young people who are on the autism spectrum, where they can develop life skills that will facilitate their engagement and participation in other youth services, initiatives and activities.

Estonian national level web-based youth information service Teeviit decided to join the social platform Tik-Tok to reach young people, support them with quality and reliable information and spread campaigns, participation opportunities, and various events.

The Youth Information Centers of the Youth Board of Cyprus continued to support the youth of Cyprus for another challenging year. The priority was to enhance the accessibility of Cypriot youth to information and to implement targeted activities, aiming to empower and support them.

In February 2022, Wales launched its exciting, new international learning exchange programme – called Taith. The program will allow Wales and its international partners to continue to benefit from exchanges similar to the opportunities from Erasmus+.

Due to the COVID-19, the Regional Center for Youth Information and Documentation, CRIDJ, of the Community of Madrid, had to reinvent itself with a "Non-Face to Face Attention" model to better assist young people.

After a successful experience piloting a youth newspaper in the summer of 2021, Teevit launched in November 2021 a new edition focused on youth work and its role to support youths' mental health and challenges with digitalisation. Check it out!
